SARMOB is Smart, Simple and Secure

SMART:
SARMOB turns a group of smart phones into an automatic man over-board alarm system. SARMOB utilises the smart phones built in features to detect a mob situation and help you navigate back to the position where it happened. SARMOB will alarm all group members with sound and vibration. All members will have access to the navigational information, both numeric and graphically. SARMOB generates no data traffic on the mobile network and is free to use. The system will also work when out of range of the mobile network. SARMOB requires no extra hardware. We do recommend a waterproof bag for your smart phone.

SARMOB is designed to be user friendly. All you need to do is to start the app, connect your crew and carry your phone in your pocket.

SIMPLE:
1. Start and connect the SARMOB in less than a minute.
2. SARMOB is in watch mode, your smart phone is in your pocket.
3. Man falls over board. Alarm Sound and vibration.
4. Let SARMOB guide you back to the MOB point.

SEQURE:

SARMOB has been tested on a range of units. Battery life on iPhone is 10 hours, iPad 40 hours.

SARMOB is designed to be user friendly. All you need to do is to start the app, group up with your crew and carry your phone in your pocket. Being a responsible skipper has just been made a lot simpler.

SARMOB makes your "always in your pocket" smart phone into a life saving device. The automatic man over-board alarm system will save valuable time in the event of a Man Over-Board situation on your boat.

SARMOB stores alarm events. You may pick up and restart navigation to stored alarms from the MOB history list.

SARMOB runs GPS. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Two situations that seldom occurs in real use of SARMOB, will normally cause false alarms.
1. Speed Over Ground(SOG) =0 for more than 10 minutes.
2. Captain unit looses GPS signal for more than 10 minutes.
Both situations will be present if you test SARMOB inside a building. We recommend testing SARMOB on a boat.
